Tasks of the Consulate General
As the official representation of Switzerland on the ground, the Consulate General carries out a variety of tasks within its designated regional consular district. It supports Swiss citizens, maintains contact with local authorities and institutions, and promotes bilateral relations in the areas of consular affairs, economy, culture and science.
Culture, Media and Education Section
The section aims to foster mutual understanding by encouraging cultural contacts between its consular region and Switzerland.
Economic Section
The section contributes to strengthening Sino-Swiss economic relations in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Consular Section
The section acts as a link between Swiss citizens residing in the Consulate General’s consular district and their home country.
