Tasks of the Consulate General
As the official representation of Switzerland on the ground, the Consulate General carries out a variety of tasks within its designated regional consular district. It supports Swiss citizens, maintains contact with local authorities and institutions, and promotes bilateral relations in the areas of consular affairs, economy, culture and science.
Business Affairs Section
The section helps promote business between Hong Kong/Macau and Switzerland. It supports and assists business people and provides them with useful information and contacts.
Consular Affairs Section
The section looks after Swiss nationals living in Hong Kong or Macau and can also assist Swiss citizens travelling through this consular area as tourists.
Cultural Affairs Section
The section promotes cultural exchange between Switzerland and Hong Kong/Macau. It helps connect Swiss artists in a variety of fields such as music, dance, drama or photography.
Media Affairs Section
The section follows and works with the local media with respect to issues related to Switzerland.
Section of Science, Technology, Innovation and Higher Education
The section acts as a connector between universities, scientific & educational institutions in Switzerland and Hong Kong in order to facilitate collaborations.
