Consular and Administrative Services Section
The Consular and Administrative Services Section serves as the link between Swiss citizens in the Embassy’s consular district and Switzerland. It registers Swiss nationals abroad, issues passports and identity cards, and supports political rights and welfare services. The Section also handles personal, family, nationality, and inheritance matters, including civil registry documentation and simplified naturalisation procedures. It assists Swiss citizens in emergencies, provides consular protection in cases such as lost of passports, arrests, accidents, and repatriations, and administrative functions that support the Embassy’s operations.
In addition, the Section issues visas for residents of the People’s Republic of China and the DPRK travelling to Switzerland
